New Conditioning Class!! Please read the following note from Coach Tia!
Hi everyone!
I hope you all enjoyed the first week of summer. While I'm glad the girls got some time to relax and have fun, I am so eager to get back in the gym and get to training.
With that being said, this summer I will be doing the strength and conditioning program again! This is a 7 week program that consists of 45 minute workouts once a week. These workouts will be structured around the needs of our older/upper level gymnasts, focusing on improving our strength, cardio, and overall discipline towards training. This can/will include weight training, HIIT and isometric, plyometrics, as well as focusing on flexibility and mobility.
My goal is to motivate the girls to push themselves to further their strength and overall capabilities. They will learn more about muscle anatomy and exercise physiology, and how it will improve their skills in gymnastics.
I am so excited to do this class again as I believe it helps take our gymnasts to the next level in many areas. I have a bachelors degree in Kinesiology with a focus in Exercise Physiology and Health Promotion. I have learned a lot in this field, in addition to my experience in doing/coaching gymnastics. I highly encourage your athlete to consider committing to this program as it will be very beneficial to them!
If your athlete is interested in enrolling in the program then you will need to email me, tiat@excitegym.com . We will also offer options for drop-in/one time classes for athletes that do not want to commit to the program, but would like to participate whenever they choose to. I will send an update soon that includes details about enrollment and billing.
