WELCOME!
Welcome to the 2025-2026 gymnastics team! Remember to check this hotline each week between Thursday at 5:00 and Friday at noon. The hotline will be updated weekly with all of the information you will need for gym team including practice schedule updates, dress code, meet information, and more! If you have any questions, please email gymnastics@excitegym.com. We are happy to have you as a part of our team!
Iclass updates:
-All Families: Please log in to your parent portal to ensure you have two emergency contacts listed with current email addresses and phone numbers. Also, make sure you're subscribed to our email blasts to stay informed about team updates.
-New Families: Log in to your parent portal and request a drop date for your current rec classes to avoid being billed for June. If you need assistance, email office@excitegym.com.
2025-2026 GYMNASTIC MEMBERS: REQUIRED FORMS
You must complete all the required forms for camp. You may turn these into the front office by June 2nd.

Absence requests reminders:
If your athlete needs to miss practice, please fill out the appropriate absence request reminder (which can be found later in this hotline). If it is a last-minute change of plans (after 2:00 the day of practice), please feel free to send a text to the appropriate coaches. But if it is before 2:00 the day of the absence, please fill out the form.
Summer Workout Schedules:
You should have received your athlete’s summer workout group assignment, including the training schedule for that group. Please keep in mind that these summer groups are not final competition level placements. They are simply for organizing summer training.
Final competition levels will be determined in July—and the most important factor in those decisions is the effort and progress each athlete demonstrates during summer workouts. This is a key time for athletes to show their commitment, work ethic, and readiness for the upcoming season.
Update: Suspension of Snacks in the Gym
Effective immediately, we are suspending all snacks in the gym during practice hours.
Over the past several months, we have regularly reminded athletes to clean up after themselves and to minimize time spent at their bags during practice. Despite these efforts, we are consistently having to clean up messes left behind in the team area after nearly every workout. Additionally, some athletes continue to spend excessive time away from training when given the opportunity to eat snacks.
To maintain a clean, respectful, and productive training environment, snack breaks will be suspended for the time being. Athletes should eat before practice and come prepared to focus fully during training. Water breaks will still be provided as needed.

2. DRESS CODE
*For dress code, you don’t have to wear a leo that is the specified color. If the color is yellow, but you don’t have a yellow leo, you can wear yellow shorts, a yellow headband, a yellow scrunchie, etc.
*It is mandatory that all gymnasts wear a leo to every practice. Hair must be neatly pulled back, secured out of their face. Tight fitting bar shorts or capris are allowed. Baggy pants and sweatshirts are not permitted.

3. UPCOMING DATES
-May 24th-31st: Excite will be closed for summer break.
-June 3rd: First day of summer workouts.
June 4th- 5th Team Meet and Greet (mandatory for one parent and athlete)
Yellow Group: Thursday, June 5th 5:00-5:30
Green Group: Wednesday, June 4th 5:30-6:00
Blue, Red, and Black Group: Thursday, June 5th 5:30-6:00
-June 19th-23rd, 2025: Travel Camp MANDATORY for athletes who are projected to compete in level 3, silver, or higher for the 2025-2026 season. Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Level 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 athletes are expected to save these dates for the summer. Athletes must be 8 years old or older to attend travel camp. (posted 1.30.25)
June 28th – July 6th: Excite Closed. Have a happy and safe Independence Day!
-July 30th-August 1st, 2025: In House Camp MANDATORY for athletes who are projected to compete in levels 1, 2, and Bronze for the 2025-2026 season. (posted 1.30.25)
