BANQUET AWARD – SMARTY PANTS

*Please send in your 3rd 9-week report card to receive the Smarty Pants Award at banquet! A/B average is required to receive the award.

-Email gymnastics@excitegym.com with “SMARTY PANTS” in the subject line.

-Deadline: April 3rd

BANQUET AWARD – Years on Team

*Please verify your athlete’s number of years on gymnastics team to help us ensure that all awards are correctly distributed. If your athlete’s years on team are listed, no further action is needed. If there is a discrepancy, please email gymnastics@excitegym.com by April 3rd and we will look into it.

-Years on team are calculated by adding full seasons on any competitive program at Excite!

BANQUET TICKETS

*Athlete tickets and one adult ticket have already been billed. If you would like to get an additional adult ticket, follow the link below. Adult tickets are limited to 2 tickets per family, or 4 tickets for split families. Siblings are not allowed at banquet due to space in the venue.

EXTENDED PRACTICES

*We will have extended practices for the following levels to focus on a couple of specific skills until further notice. The extended time is required for anyone who is missing any required skills for their level, and is optional for others to attend. This extra time is a gift to your athletes to help them feel strong and confident at their meets and is at no cost to you!

-Level 3: Tuesday 6:00-6:30

-Level 4, 5: Tuesday 7:30-8:00

-Gold, Platinum, Optionals: Monday 8:30-8:45 & Friday 8:00-8:15

TAAF STATE MEETS:

-April 26-27: Levels 4-6, Gold & Platinum (Irving, TX)

-May 3-4: Level 3 & Silver: Hosted by Gymtricks (Hillsboro, TX)

-May 10-11: Level 1, 2, & Bronze: (McKinney, TX)

USAG STATE MEETS:

-April 12-13: Platinum State (San Antonio, TX)

-April 25-27: Level 7 Regionals (Wichita, KS)

-May 2-4: Gold Regionals (Hot Springs, AR)

-May 8-11: Platinum Regionals (Universal, TX)

*Important! We generally do not get the specific day/time that each level will compete until about 2 weeks before each event. Until we post specific times, it's important that you keep the whole weekend available. However, each level will only compete in one session on one day, which generally lasts 3-4 hours. Specific times for each level/meet will be posted on the hotline as soon as we receive the information.

3. BILLING

*TAAF State, Gold North State/Sectional, Platinum State, and Level 7 State meet fees were billed at the end of February.

*USAG – Gold State, Platinum Regionals, and Level 7 Regionals will be billed at a later date after we see who qualifies at their meets listed above.

4. DRESS CODE

*For dress code, you don’t have to wear a leo that is the specified color. If the color is yellow, but you don’t have a yellow leo, you can wear yellow shorts, a yellow headband, a yellow scrunchie, etc.

*It is mandatory that all gymnasts wear a leo to every practice. Hair must be neatly pulled back, secured out of their face. Tight fitting bar shorts or capris are allowed. Baggy pants and sweatshirts are not permitted.

5. UPCOMING DATES

-April 29th: Gym Team Banquet

-May 17th: Gym Team tryouts (for new athletes only – returning gym team members will be placed into summer workout groups based on their previous season.

-June 19th-23rd, 2025: Travel Camp MANDATORY for athletes who are projected to compete in level 3, silver, or higher for the 2025-2026 season. Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Level 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 athletes are expected to save these dates for the summer. Athletes must be 8 years old or older to attend travel camp. (posted 1.30.25)

-July 30th-August 1st, 2025: In House Camp MANDATORY for athletes who are projected to compete in levels 1, 2, and Bronze for the 2025-2026 season. (posted 1.30.25)
