ALL TEAMS: URGENT! *posted 9/25*

We are finding that many families only have one contact number listed in their Excite Accounts. Please be sure you go in and add a secondary person and phone number in case of emergencies!

ALL TEAMS: BILLING CHECK IN *posted 9/25*

Per the handbook: “All accounts must be in good standing to continue team. We will check balances every other month starting in August.” Accounts must be caught up by November 1st. If you have any questions or concerns, please email office@excitegym.com .

ALL TEAMS: BREAST CANCER DONATIONS *posted 9/25*

We are going to be collecting donations starting this Monday, 9/29, through the end of October to donate to Breast Cancer Research. We will be competing between teams to earn little prizes along the way and the overall team winner will get to pie their coaches in the face! Please bring these to team practices and turn into team coaches to collect- not the donation bucket at the front desk.

Dates have been set for next Summer’s choreography sessions and in house camp. Be sure to block these dates off now! They are in the Important Dates Section.

Expo Information:

-Extra practice on October 18th: Times adjusted on 9/25! Novice and Prep will practice 9-10am and Premier Prep and All Star will practice 10am-11:30am.

Volunteers Needed!!!

-We need some strong helpers to get us set up and broken down for this event. This may require some heavy lifting so the more hands, the better and easier on us all! Our goal is to have at least 15 people per option! We will give you 1 free ticket to Expo per session you volunteer! Option 1: Set up 9am-11am/ Option 2: Break down will start right after final team performs and will take about 2 hours.

Vendor Spaces Available!

-We are always wanting to support our local business! If you have a business of your own or know someone who does, we will be allowing vendors to set up at our Expo. We will be leaving the doors open this year so everyone gets plenty of time to shop! ALL STAR: NASHVILLE *posted 9/18*

-As posted in your Band’s on Wednesday 9/17, we are IN!!! We are so thankful and excited to be attending this amazing event! YAY!!!

-Due to the high number of teams, this event is now a 3-day event; March 27th-29th. Secret will perform on Friday/Saturday. Dynamite, Wrath and Smack will perform Saturday/Sunday.

-This is a Stay and Play Event so all hotel bookings must be made through Team Travel Source. Update was sent in BAND on 9/25 and we hope to have information sent to you on 9/29. Watch your emails and bands for updates and information.

-For travel arrangements, you need to arrive in Nashville by 9pm the night before competing- no exceptions! Departure should be the day after your final performance. Booking the same day as competing runs the risk of adjusting travel plans. The gym will not be responsible for any fees associated with adjusting travel.

-Get your boots ready, y’all!!!

ALL TEAMS: COMPETITION HAIR STYLES *posted 9/18*

Coaches have decided on hair competition styles for this season! All Star and Premier Prep teams will be having a comp hair practice day on 9/28. All other teams will not have a designated practice day, but we will address issues, if any, after expo. These will all be with competition bows given later! HEADS UP: The hair tie connected to the bow should not serve as the main hair tie! You should use a separate to first hold the hair up - then style and add the competition bow after.

-Wish: 2 high pig tails with curls or natural curls

-Tikis/Moanas/ Diamond Divas and Prep teams: High ponytail with curls or natural hair. No whispies or tease.

-Premier Prep teams and Wrath: High ponytail with curls and tease (not to extend over top portion of bow)

-Dynamite/ Secret and Smack: Braid on left side going into low ponytail with curls.

Novice and Prep:

Premier Prep and All Star:

-First Sunday Team Activity for Premier Prep and All Star! We will be doing a team activity on the first Sunday practice of every month. This month we will be painting pumpkins! The gym will supply all supplies unless there is something specific you want to bring to add!

3. PROSHOP

ALL STAR: Competition Bows were handed out last week. These bows should be kept safe with uniform and should only be worn on competition day. If you lose your bow, you will be charged to replace it.

NOVICE/ PREP/PREMIER PREP: We are still waiting on some uniform items to be shipped. As soon as we have them, we will get you your uniforms and bows!

4. INSPIRE

Announcements:

-Due to some conflicts, we will NOT be practicing on Saturday, October 18th. We feel confident we can have our routine done and ready to perform on October 19th for Expo!

-We will be checking accounts next week to ensure fees have been collected. Please drop cash or checks by 9/28. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact office@excitegym.com

-Reminder to please get your USASF accounts made and/or renewed for this season! Go to usasf.net and select ‘Log in’ from the top right. Follow steps to either create or log in. Your account fee should be $0 if you select ‘Cheerabilities’ as your athlete tier. You may still have to enter card information, but no fee should come through. New members- be sure you select Excite as your program in the final steps and request to join!

PRACTICE 9/28: 12:45pm-1:30pm

-Athletes: Wear any athletic clothing and shoes until practices shirts are in.

-Assistant Coaches: Wear your Sunday practice wear clothing assignment.
