EXPO

Amazing job to all of our athletes at Expo!! We loved getting to see everyone put their routines together and come show off. The energy in the gym was incredible!


TRUNK OR TREAT

We will have our trunk or treat on Saturday October 24 from 10:45-11:30 am.

WE STILL NEED VOLUNTEERS!!! We want to fill the parking lot! Email gymnastics@excitegym.com if you are able to help make this a fun day for our girls!

*If needed due to weather we will still have this event inside!


PROFESSIONAL PHOTO SCHEDULE

*Arrive wearing your meet leotard with hair down and styled however you’d like (straight/curly)

*Pre-team wear your practice leotard with hair down for your photos.

*Bring a leotard and hair supplies to change into for practice.

MEET LEOTARD UPDATE

Our meet leos have been delayed in transit. We will have leotards available for all athletes to wear for professional photos. Please wear undergarments if you have not received your meet leo yet. We will post an updated ETA as soon as we receive it.


WASHING INSTRUCTIONS

• All garment(s) must be washed separately.

• Turn garment(s) inside out.

• Use a mild liquid detergent and gently hand wash in cold water. Rinse immediately.

• DO NOT allow garment to soak.

• Hang to dry.

• DO NOT use fabric softeners.

• DO NOT dry clean.

• DO NOT iron.


SPIRIT SALE UPDATE

Spirit Sale Items have begun to be distributed but we are still waiting for some of the items to be delivered. Unfortunately, the small business that does most of our Spirit Sale Items, the owner lost his mother this week so there has been a delay on the last shipment he was working on for us. These items will be delivered as soon as we have them. Any orders that are complete will be sent home with your athlete or available for pickup from will call at your program’s Expo this weekend.

 

2.  COMPETITION SCHEDULE

A few dates have been adjusted to correct minor errors — some meets were previously listed as Sunday/Monday events and are now correctly shown as Saturday/Sunday.

Feb 12-15: Nashvegas Extravaganza  (Levels 3, 4, Silver, Gold, 6 & 8)

February 19-22: WOGA                   (L8) USAG LEVEL 6

Feb 28-March 1: Richardson                     (Levels 1, 2, 3, 4,6,Bronze, Silver, Gold)

March 6-8: Level 6 USAG State         (Plano, TX)

March 14-15: Classic                      (Level 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, Bronze, Silver, Gold)

March 27-29: Level 8 USAG State              (Spring, TX)

April 11-12: Trevino’s                     (Levels 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, Bronze, Silver, Gold)

April 24-26: Level 1, 2, Bronze State  (Brenham, TX)

April 17-19: Level 8 USAG Regionals  (OKC,OK)

May 1-3: Level 3 & Silver State         (local)

May 15-17: Level 4 & Gold State               (Hillsboro, TX)

 

Level 6:

*USAG participation will be by invitation only. Invitations will be based on athletes’ performance at Expo and during pre-season scoring. Our goal is to ensure each athlete is set up for a strong and successful season.

*If an athlete does not achieve the qualifying score at Expo but shows significant improvement afterward, we will submit video routines for re-evaluation and possible reconsideration.

*The final USAG roster will be announced by December 1st.

*All Optionals will attend Nashvegas, regardless of if they’re competing a full USAG season or not.

 

3.   DRESS CODE

*For dress code, you don’t have to wear a leo that is the specified color. If the color is yellow, but you don’t have a yellow leo, you can wear yellow shorts, a yellow headband, a yellow scrunchie, etc.

*It is mandatory that all gymnasts wear a leo to every practice. Hair must be neatly pulled back, secured out of their face. Tight fitting bar shorts or capris are allowed. Baggy pants and sweatshirts are not permitted.

 

Thursday, October 23: Wear green

Saturday, October 25: Costume day!!  

Monday, October 27: Wear any Excite! Leotard

Tuesday, October 28: Wear orange

Wednesday, October 29: Wear red

Thursday, October 30: Wear red

Saturday, November 1: Wear black

 

4. BILLING

Upcoming billing dates:

November 28: Banquet tickets billed for athlete & 1 parent

February 27: State meet fees billed


FINANCIAL CHECKPOINT UPCOMING – November 1st 

Per the handbook, all accounts will need to have a zero balance to continue team. We will check balances every 2 months starting in August. Please be sure to plan your financials for these check points.

Accounts must be caught up by November 1st. If you have any questions or concerns, please email office@excitegym.com.
