WELCOME COACH ALEX!

Join us in welcoming Coach Alex Florea to our coaching staff! Coach Alex will be working with all of our levels throughout meet season to be an extra hand in training vault, bars, and tumbling skills while he gets to know your kiddos and learn more about Excite! We are very excited to have him as a part of our team and can’t wait for you to meet him!

A little more about Coach Alex:

My name is Alexandru Florea. I go by Coach Alex, and I am a native of Romania.

I have been living in Texas for 20 years, along with my wife, our four kids, and two dogs.

I am a former national-level gymnast and soccer player. I competed for the Sports University in Romania and hold a master’s degree in exercise science.

I have been coaching gymnastics for about 30 years, and I am very grateful to be able to experience and learn new things every day from the kids I coach and from the coaches around me.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing soccer-tennis, teaching fitness classes for seniors, and promoting exercise and fitness for a healthy and happy life!

NEW CLASS OFFERS!

Back Handspring and Conditioning!

This class is designed to help those get extra focus on their back handsprings to achieve this monumental skill. Conditioning is a major part of development. Students must be able to execute Round off with a rebound and a Back Walkover, have the knowledge and physical ability to hold themselves in a back bend or strong bridge. Conditioning elements and drills will be incorporated for strength training. Ages 7 & up. 45-Minute class.

Small Group!

This class is going to be put together in part by custom design! You will pick your own group of 4 with a similar skill set and a time offering that best fits your schedule. If you have had issues getting multiple kiddos to the gym at once or want to have a few friends tumble together, this is a great option. The 4 to 1 ratio is unbeatable for skills training and overall fun. Ages can vary, but students should be within 3 to 4 years of one another. This will be a 45-minute class set for the attendees to achieve similar goals.
