1. IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS
PRACTICE UPDATES
*August 29-September 1 – No practice – Happy Labor Day!
MANDATORY CHOREOGRAPHY PRACTICES – Level 1, 2, 3, 4, Bronze, Silver
These practices are mandatory! We will be learning our floor routines on the 13th & 14th, and levels 1-4 will be learning their beam routine on the 20th. If you miss these practices you will be required to schedule a private lesson with one of your level’s coaches – payment will be made directly to the coach ($50/hr).
September 13th & 20th:
9:30-12:00 Level 1 & 2
12:30-3:00 Level 3 & 4
September 14th:
9:30-12:00 Bronze & Silver
MONDAY USAG PRACTICE – Optional (Starting September 8th)
Who: Level 4 & Gold (may register) / Level 3 & Silver (requires approval)
When: Mondays 5:00-8:30
Cost: $80/month
This is an optional class addition – not required!

LEVEL 2 – PE TRAINING VIDEO
At Excite! We offer our mats to PE teachers to rent out throughout the school year to use for their gymnastics week. We are filming a training video for the PE teachers and we need some athletes to help demonstrate!
Level 2 athletes are invited to help us on September 6th from 11:00-12:15. We will give them a lunch break before going into the videos and will provide them with a red logo shirt that they can keep!
Please send your kids with their hair neatly done (does not need to be meet day hair! Just secured) with black bar shorts.
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY: FACILITY ASSISTANT
Requirements: Driver’s License (18 or older), Good Driving Record, Ability to drive pickup trick with trailer (experienced), clear background check, available on Fridays between 10-12 and/or 2-5pm and part time hours available during the week (flexible on times), ability to lift and haul equipment.
Additional Job Expectations: Work special events, handyman abilities and addressing facility issues.

ALL ATHLETES - NEW ENTRY PROCESS – IMPORTANT!
Starting in September, we are asking that all gym team athletes enter the building through the side double doors. We are hoping that this will expedite their drop off and keep the front circle drive moving, along with helping our little ones get to practice without having to walk through other classes.
HOLIDAY PRACTICE SCHEDULES
These practice times are optional & encouraged for those who are in town, however we understand that families are likely to be traveling during these times! Please send in absence requests as normal if you will not be able to attend these practice times so we can plan ahead for coaches & equipment – however, absences on these dates will not go against gold star or allowed absences.
November 24 & 25 (Thanksgiving Break)
December 22, 23, 27, 29, 30 (Christmas Break)
March 17-19 (Spring Break)

Level 4, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Optionals: 10:00-1:00
MUSIC AND CHOREOGRAPHY INFO – Gold, Platinum, Optionals ONLY
-MUSIC:
Athletes will be told during practice which song they need to purchase.
Time selection: Your music must be shorter than the time listed for your level below:
-Gold: 1 minute
-Platinum & Level 6: 1 min 15 seconds
-Level 8: 1 minute 30 seconds
-Please purchase your music at least 2 weeks prior to your choreography date. Some websites take about a week to get your music to you, and coaches will need your music about a week ahead of time to plan. Once you receive your music, send it to gymnastics@excitegym.com.

-CHOREOGRAPHY: Each coach will have a set number of spots and times to get everyone’s choreography done. Choreography time slots will be set up for three hours and cost $200 paid directly to your choreographer, the day that your choreography is done.

*USAG participation will be by invitation only. Invitations will be based on athletes’ performance at Expo and during pre-season scoring. Our goal is to ensure each athlete is set up for a strong and successful season.
*If an athlete does not achieve the qualifying score at Expo but shows significant improvement afterward, we will submit video routines for re-evaluation and possible reconsideration.
*The final USAG roster will be announced by December 1st.
*All Platinum and Optionals will attend Nashvegas, regardless of if they’re competing a full USAG season or not.

3. DRESS CODE
*For dress code, you don’t have to wear a leo that is the specified color. If the color is yellow, but you don’t have a yellow leo, you can wear yellow shorts, a yellow headband, a yellow scrunchie, etc.
*It is mandatory that all gymnasts wear a leo to every practice. Hair must be neatly pulled back, secured out of their face. Tight fitting bar shorts or capris are allowed. Baggy pants and sweatshirts are not permitted.
