1. IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS

It’s a Boy! Welcome Baby Marshall

We are thrilled to share the exciting news that our amazing Team Director, Caitlin, has welcomed a beautiful baby boy into the world—say hello to Marshall. Both mom and baby are doing well, and we couldn’t be happier for Caitlin and her growing family.

Please join us in sending your congratulations and best wishes to Caitlin and her family during this special time.

Update: Suspension of Snacks in the Gym

Effective immediately, we are suspending all snacks in the gym during practice hours.

Over the past several months, we have regularly reminded athletes to clean up after themselves and to minimize time spent at their bags during practice. Despite these efforts, we are consistently having to clean up messes left behind in the team area after nearly every workout. Additionally, some athletes continue to spend excessive time away from training when given the opportunity to eat snacks.

To maintain a clean, respectful, and productive training environment, snack breaks will be suspended for the time being. Athletes should eat before practice and come prepared to focus fully during training. Water breaks will still be provided as needed.

Thank you for your understanding and support as we reinforce team expectations and protect valuable training time.

2025-2026 HANDBOOK

*The 2025-2026 Gym Team Handbook is live! Please take time to look over the handbook and email gymnastics@excitegym.com if you have any questions.

Questions about Saturday practices:

We've received a few questions about the shift from Friday evenings to Saturday mornings for Fall–Spring practices. We understand that many of our athletes are involved in multiple activities and want to reassure you that we're here to support your child both in and out of the gym.

We’d like to share the reasoning behind this change and welcome any follow-up questions. Moving practices to Saturday mornings allows coaches to offer more focused training time with their teams and frees up gym space for both classes and teams. It also opens up Friday and Saturday evenings for athletes to have football games, family time, and social activities.

Training in the morning—when athletes are rested—helps improve focus and prepares them for early competition schedules. We recognize that scheduling conflicts can happen, and we're happy to work with families to find alternate practice times as needed. These adjustments will be handled on a week-by-week basis as they are communicated with our coaching staff.

As always, thank you for trusting us with your child’s development—in gymnastics and beyond!

RETURNING ATHLETE TRYOUT INFORMATION

As we near the end of the 2024-2025 gymnastics season, we hope to keep our focus on the upcoming state meets and end of year festivities. If you are returning to gym team next season, you will just need to fill out the form below and email it in to gymnastics@excitegym.com by May 12th, and are welcome to send it in prior to that date. The handbook for the new season will be available on or before April 21st.

*If you are sadly not returning to Excite! gym team next year, we ask that you wait to email in until after our state meet season has ended, and that any emails withdrawing from team are sent on (not before) Monday, May 12th. This is so that we can all remain in good spirits and focus on having a fun and positive state meet!

*This will serve as your notice to withdraw from team, and you will not be billed any future fees. Per the gymnastics handbook, your gymnast will not attend any team practices or events after withdrawing from team.

*If your athlete is wanting to switch back into a class setting, please include that in your email and we will be happy to get you more information on transitioning back into classes!
