1. IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS
EXPO TICKETS
Early bird pricing ends TOMORROW October 10th! Order your tickets now to save $5 per ticket. (Team athletes and children 5 and younger are free!)
PROFESSIONAL PHOTO SCHEDULE
*Arrive wearing your meet leotard with hair down and styled however you’d like (straight/curly)
*Pre-team wear your practice leotard with hair down for your photos.
*Bring a leotard and hair supplies to change into for practice.
Monday 10/20:
Platinum & Optionals: 5:30 (come to practice at 5:00 fully dressed and ready for photos; we will take it easy during warm up 😊)
Tuesday 10/21:
Silver: 5:15 (come to practice at 5:00 fully dressed and ready for photos; we will take it easy during warm up 😊)
Wednesdsay 10/22:
Level 1 and 2: 4:30
Bronze and Level 3: 5:15 (arrive early for practice)
Thursday 10/23:
Pre-team: 4:30
Gold & Level 4: 5:00
MEET LEO WASHING INSTRUCTIONS
• All garment(s) must be washed separately.
• Turn garment(s) inside out.
• Use a mild liquid detergent and gently hand wash in cold water. Rinse immediately.
• DO NOT allow garment to soak.
• Hang to dry.
• DO NOT use fabric softeners.
• DO NOT dry clean.
• DO NOT iron.
Meet leos will be in some time next week! We will pass them out during practices.
DRESS CODE
*It is required for all athletes to wear a leotard at practice – stomach should not be exposed and loose shorts or tops are not permitted.
*Bar shorts are optional except for the 2 weeks leading up to a meet. Those two weeks athletes will be asked to take off bar shorts unless parents have specifically reached out to coaches.
*Sports bras are encouraged for athletes in Bronze, Silver, level 4 or higher.
BREAST CANCER DONATIONS
We are going to be collecting donations through the end of October to donate to Breast Cancer Research. We will be competing between teams to earn little prizes along the way and the overall team winner will get to pie their coaches in the face! Please bring these to team practices and turn into team coaches to collect- not the donation bucket at the front desk.
EXPO INFORMATION
MEET DAY INSTRUCTIONS – PLEASE READ FULLY BEFORE EXPO!
Date – Saturday, October 18th
Performance Times:
Levels 1, 2, 3, Bronze, and Pre-team: Arrive at 12:00
Levels 4, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Optionals: Arrive at 3:00
Tickets:
-Tickets are currently early bird pricing! $15/ticket through October 10th (will be $20/ticket at the door).
-Families with children in gymnastics and acro/cheer will need to purchase the cheer & acro tickets – this ticket will get you into the gymnastics expo as well!
-Children 5 and under are free
MUSIC AND CHOREOGRAPHY INFO – Gold, Platinum, Optionals ONLY
-CHOREOGRAPHY: Choreography time slots will be set up for three hours and cost $200 paid directly to your choreographer, the day that your choreography is done. Please plan on staying for the entirety of your athlete’s choreography. However if another coach is planning on being at the gym at that time, you will not be required to stay.

A few dates have been adjusted to correct minor errors — some meets were previously listed as Sunday/Monday events and are now correctly shown as Saturday/Sunday.

March 6-8: Level 6 USAG State (Plano, TX)
March 14-15: Classic (Level 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum)
March 27-29: Platinum USAG State (River City Gymanstics)
March 27-29: Level 8 USAG State (Spring, TX)
April 11-12: Trevino’s (Levels 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum)
April 24-26: Level 1, 2, Bronze State (Brenham, TX)
April 17-19: Platinum USAG Regionals (Loveland, CO)
April 17-19: Level 8 USAG Regionals (OKC,OK)
May 1-3: Level 3 & Silver State (local)
May 15-17: Level 4 & Gold State (Hillsboro, TX)
Platinum & Level 6:
*USAG participation will be by invitation only. Invitations will be based on athletes’ performance at Expo and during pre-season scoring. Our goal is to ensure each athlete is set up for a strong and successful season.
*If an athlete does not achieve the qualifying score at Expo but shows significant improvement afterward, we will submit video routines for re-evaluation and possible reconsideration.
*The final USAG roster will be announced by December 1st.
*All Platinum and Optionals will attend Nashvegas, regardless of if they’re competing a full USAG season or not.
3. DRESS CODE
*For dress code, you don’t have to wear a leo that is the specified color. If the color is yellow, but you don’t have a yellow leo, you can wear yellow shorts, a yellow headband, a yellow scrunchie, etc.
*It is mandatory that all gymnasts wear a leo to every practice. Hair must be neatly pulled back, secured out of their face. Tight fitting bar shorts or capris are allowed. Baggy pants and sweatshirts are not permitted.
Thursday, October 9: Wear yellow
Saturday, October 11: Wear red black or white
Monday, October 13: Wear orange
Tuesday, October 14: Wear yellow
Wednesday, October 15: Wear pink
Thursday, October 16: Wear pink
Saturday, October 18: Wear meet leotard with meet day hair (see meet day instruction link in section 1)
4. BILLING
Upcoming billing dates:
November 28: Banquet tickets billed for athlete & 1 parent
February 27: State meet fees billed
FINANCIAL CHECKPOINT UPCOMING – November 1st
Per the handbook, all accounts will need to have a zero balance to continue team. We will check balances every 2 months starting in August. Please be sure to plan your financials for these check points.
Accounts must be caught up by November 1st. If you have any questions or concerns, please email office@excitegym.com.
