ANNOUNCEMENTS 1.8-1.15.26

HAPPY NEW YEAR! We want to thank you all for your support and dedication to our program! It means so much to us that you choose to bring your children here and share them with us. We wish our families an amazing 2026 and can’t wait to see what we all do together this year!

PREMIER PREP AND ALL STAR: IMPORTANT DATE EDITS!

-January 25th: Wrath and Smack will NOT have practice due to NCA High School Nationals

-January 27th: Tremor, Shadow and Reckless WILL have practice.

-January 29th: Tremor will NOT have practice. Wrath WILL have practice 6-7pm and Smack WILL have practice 7-8pm. Reckless and Shadow WILL have practice.

-February 1st: Tremor, Shadow and Reckless will NOT have practice due to final day of ACA for All Star.

-March 14th and 15th competition: Only Wrath will be attending this event. If Wrath’s receives a bid before this date, we will remove it however, we wanted to have us plan ahead just in case.

PREMIER PREP AND ALL STAR: ACA Leadership class

ACA will be hosting our ACA Power Hour Leadership Class for high school students again. They started this class in 2019, and it has continued to be a hit. Their core motivation in offering this is to give your athletes a vision for success as a role model, encourager, and leader on your team and in the gym. They believe strong leadership is the foundation of any successful team.

COST: $12 per athlete (receive t-shirt & recognition during awards)

WHO: Athletes in 9th - 12th grade only

WHERE: Fort Worth Convention Center, Room TBD

WHEN: Saturday, Jan. 31st from 10:00am-11:00am

REGISTER: 2026 ACA POWER HOUR Registration to register as many high school athletes as you like. You can submit more than one form.

DYNAMITE AND SMACK: THE SUMMIT *updated 1/8*

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! We are so proud of both of these teams for earning their bid and all their hard work!

1/8 Updates:

-Email blast was sent on 12/29/25 with information on how to register your athlete. Deposit deadline is JANUARY 21ST! If you did not receive this email, please email cheer@excitegym.com and we will forward it to you.

-WAIVERS: This event requires a specific waiver. Fill out the waiver online at: https://tinyurl.com/3tfk87w3

-Lodging Options: A message was posted in team BANDS on 1/6. Please comment on that post by 5pm January 8th if you’d like to be included in the room block!

12/18 Updates and Information:

-The Summit will be in Orlando, FL at ESPN Wide World of Sports. Competition will run from May 1st-May 3rd.

-Summit Show off at Excite!: Tuesday, April 28th. Time TBD.

-General Information: Both teams have a Wildcard bid to The Summit. This means we will go against other teams with the same bid type for our Day 1 of competition to be ranked against to earn a place in finals. They can still upgrade their bid, but only to a paid bid. This event requires a lot of details and offers a lot of different packages which can be overwhelming. We always try to make things as clear as possible but always reach out to us if you have any questions!

-Travel/ Dates: Wildcard bid teams must arrive on April 30th by 3pm. At large or paid bids teams must arrive on May 1st by 3pm. Practices will be held the evening you arrive. Time and location TBD. Wild card teams compete on May 1st in Semi-Finals, all other bid types compete on May 2nd for Prelims. Finals will be on May 3rd for all teams. Teams must advance to finals. Do not schedule return flights home until Monday, May 4th as we do not know what we will be competing for Finals. You may start booking your flights now!

-Lodging: Our program typically does the Commuter package which leave you open to book and stay wherever you please! If you’d like to stay on a Disney property, you will do that through your registration. Details on how to do this will be sent out later. Feel free to start booking your lodging!

-Costs/Fees: We are working on gathering all fees for this event and will update you with pricing once it is finalized. We hope to have that all ready by early January for you. We do know that deposits will be due by January 21st and final payments due by February 12th!

SECRET: THE YOUTH SUMMIT *posted 12/18*

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! We are so proud of these girls for working hard and getting their bid!

-The Youth Summit will be in Tampa, Florida at the Tampa Convention Center! The event will run on April 23rd and 24th, 2026. **This is an adjustment from our original Competition schedule posting! It has been updated on all documents and in important dates.

-Youth Summit Show off at Excite!: Monday, April 20th. Time TBD.

-Travel/Dates: Athletes must arrive by 3pm on Wednesday, April 22nd. Practice will be held that night, time and location TBD. Prelims are on Thursday, April 23rd and finals are on April 24th. Teams will have to advance to finals for this event. Do not schedule return flights home until Saturday, April 25th as we do not know what time we will be competing for finals. You may start booking your flights now!

-Lodging: This is a stay and play event which means you must book through team travel source if you are staying in a hotel. We will update here with when our link will be available.

-Cost/Fees: We are working on gathering all fees for this event and will update you with pricing once it is finalized. We hope to have that all ready by February for you!

- Bows will be passed out on 1.8 – please keep in a safe place with your athlete’s uniform.

-How to be comp Ready:

-Competition times: we do not receive the final schedule until the Wednesday before the event. We will post the schedule and all information here on 1/15. Continue to leave the entire day open until then.

What to wear:

1/8: Practice shirt, athletic shorts, cheer shoes, hair bow.

1/15: Practice shirt, athletic shorts, cheer shoes, hair bow

1/16: SHOW OFF! Uniform top, Uniform skirt, Hair in slicked high ponytail with straight or natural hair with competition bow. Athletes should have on cheer or all white shoes with white socks. Make up for show off is up to you guys- but be sure you know how to do the competition make up before Saturday! *Times listed below for show off*

1/17: COMPETITION! Full uniform, hair and make up!

Important Dates:

January 16th: Extra practice and show off at Excite! Athletes arrive at 5:30pm to practice/warm up. Parents will need to wait outside of the building and will be able to enter at 6:30pm.

January 17th: Redline Winter Showdown at Comerica Center

February 14th: Bravo DCC Nationals at Irving Convention Center

February 19th: Celebration and last practice at Excite! Sparklers 4:45-5:30 (edited 11.6) pm/ Thrill 7pm-7:45pm

-February 23rd-March 1st: No Novice or Prep Team Practices due to NCA Nationals. Classes will still be running.

-February 26th: Premier Prep, Dynamite and Secret must be in Houston by 9pm.

-February 27th: Wrath and Smack must be in Houston by 9pm.

-February 27th-March 1st: NCA Nationals in Houston, TX for Premier Prep and All Star. See Detailed Competition Schedule in attachments for your mandatory travel requirements.

-March 2nd: No All Star practices- travel home day.

-March 6th: Novice Banquet 6pm-8pm at Courtyard Marriott

-March 30th: No All Star practices- travel home day.
