Power Tumbling
is a USA Gymnastics sport that was introduced to the Olympic Games in 2000. Power Tumbling consists of three events: rod floor (tumbling), trampoline, and double-mini.

Rod Floor
The rod floor is made up of horizontal fiberglass rods that are elevated above the ground. This run is 84 foot long and 6 feet wide. The competitor completes two passes on this even.
*Trampoline: The trampoline is not like your typical black beds. It is what is considered a "hot bed". This type of bed allows for greater height than the typical bed. The competitor completes routines based on their skill level, consisting of several simultaneous skills
*Double-mini: This event takes place on a smaller trampoline with the competitor running toward the trampoline, jumping onto it, performing a skill, then landing back onto the trampoline, and then performs a dismount skill onto a landing mat.

Teams
Competition Team: The team will have the option of training two or three days per week for 2 hours 15 min. COST: 2 days= $120 per month & 3days= $150 per month
Training Team: The training team will practice two days per week for 1 ½ hours.
COST: $100 per month If you are on another Excite! team, your second team cost $25 per month!

The Power Tumbling Program is under the direction of Corey Cox. Corey has over 15 years experience both as a competitor and coach, in both power tumbling and cheerleading. He was a UNT cheerleader for four years, winning the 2000 NCA College National title and was captain in 2001. As a power tumbler he was a National Finalist and has coached several national champions. Corey also helps coach the All-Star Cheer squads, Power and Spirit.
